RESEARCH EXPERTISE

I have contributed to more than 40 full-length papers in refereed journals (e.g. Evolution, Journal of Evolutionary Biology, Biological Journal of the Linnean Society, Ophelia, Heredity, Genetica, Journal of Molluscan Studies, Molecular Ecology, Biological Conservation, Journal of Proteomics, etc), and supervised 6 postgraduate and 6 PhD students. In addition I have reviewed manuscripts for distinct international scientific journals (most of the mentioned above and a few more), and also evaluated research and grant proposals for the natural sciences research councils in Great Britain. I have co-organizer one symposia (XIII Seminars of Genetic Population and Evolution at Baiona, 2000) and will organize the next International meeting in littorinid biology and evolution (in Baiona, Spain 2008).
